Open Call – Artist Residency Program 2017

Open Port Club is an inter-city exchange project connecting Berlin and Sapporo through music. Sapporo, located in the northernmost part of Japan, is a city that nurtures various forms of cultural and artistic creativity. This exchange project with Berlin aims to invigorate music scenes and artists/creators of Sapporo.

Beginning in 2016, Open Port Club has been sending 3 artists from Sapporo to Tresor, a renowned techno nightclub in Berlin. And this year, we are now accepting applications to participate in Open Port Club's artist residency program in Sapporo, Japan.

For this program, 2 electronic music artists based in Berlin will be invited to Sapporo. One participant will be selected from the Incubator program hosted by Berlin Community Radio. The second participant will be selected by Open Port Club through open applications.
The participants will stay in Sapporo for 10 days, to engage in music production while interacting with Sapporo's music scenes.
